ANNOUNCEMENTS 4/13/24
HELLO LOVELY HECKERS we've got some announcements!!
ACTIVITY POLICY
SO after crunching numbers (read: just casually observing shit) I've noticed Heck Game has attracted a lot of new folks not really used to this style of game!! So to help ease people into the environment, we are lowering the Activity requirement to only TEN COMMENTS. Do I think this is too low? A BIT. But also: I don't want people to stress about AC if they are having fun!! SO TEN IT IS.
Some notes!
-AC should be ten comments from anywhere within the month, from the 1st-30th/31st!
-TDM threads can count for AC!
-Standalone threads should still be at least 5 comments! (ie a thread where you jumped someone's top level or post)
-HOWEVER you can also link entire posts you are hosting/running for AC regardless of the thread count!
-Same goes for top levels! If you've made a top level and have a lot going on, you can just link the whole thread/top level instead of counting individual threads regardless of their comment count.
-That said, I reserve the right to pull you aside/waggle my finger at you if you're consistently linking top levels full of 2 comment threads for AC consistently. I WANT PEOPLE TO PLAY, NOT SQUAT.
-The rules/faq have been updated to reflect this!
The new AC policy is in effect for April! The taken list has been updated so you can put in your AC for April now! I'm also saving the list weekly so in case it gets borked again we have a back up!!
TEST DRIVE MEME AND APPS
There won't be a new TDM this month but if someone wants to test out characters feel free to use the old one! Time/space doesn't exist, it's easter 24/7. That said apps will open again on April 25th. The app page has been updated to reflect this!
APRIL MAY JUNE HAPPENINGS
Did you know those are the names of Daisy Duck's nieces?? Wack.
Anyway either tomorrow or like, sometime later this week idk I'll have a mid month effect post for people to putter around in if you choose, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, starting in May, we will have themed months.
Themed months just means there will be a background element you can play with should you wish; it's 100% opt in and you can stop playing with it or ignore it to your heart's content! Currently in the works are:
MAY - MERMAID MONTH
JUNE - UTENA MONTH
What do these mean?? Stay tuned!! If you have some themes you'd like to see feel free to comment with them as well! And as always, if you have to ask "ash can i do this funny thing???' the answer is 99.9% going to be yes go for it.
