A: Garden Level - Fall IN!
[The garden is full of fruits and overflowing with milk and honey as usual, truly a paradise. But gasp, what's this? A PALLET CHANGE? Instead of the typical lush green, it's taken on more Autumn colors for Aesthetic^TM. It's still pleasantly warm as usual though, for current denizens and newbies alike, and it's gosh darn nice to hang out in.

But speaking of newbies and passerbys! If you pop in, you'll find yourself landing in a pile of colorful leaves. But these ain't no normal leaves!! Depending on the color, you may experience the following:

Yellow- Get energized nerd!! Despite just dying, you're suddenly filled to the brim with joy, and far more amicable to the first people you see.
Orange- Ever heard of love at first sight?? IT'S HAPPENING NOW. You may become absolutely smitten with the first few folks that help you out of your pile.
Red- Or the complete opposite! You're filled with the POWER OF AGGRO and ready to argue or fight with whoever you see first!

Or maybe you fall in a pile of mixed leaves that give you a combo of effects, or nullify the effect so nothing happens! Up to you. ]


B, Hell Level: Spooky Scary Skeletons
[Down at the HellRaiser hotel, it's already practically halloween 24/7, but now even more so! The standard hellish hotel amenities are available--massages, hot saunas, all the booze and drugs you could ever want, room service, etc!

But the perpetual night life is where it's at. In celebration of the most unholy season of the year (citation needed), the clubs are HOPPING and playing music loud enough it could raise the (un)dead. . .literally! You could be walking on your way back from getting a burger, and skeleton or zombie bursts from the ground! They might attack you or. . .try to get you to dance with them. Weird. Either way, don't linger too long, or they'll try to get you to go back further into the depths with them. . .

Alternatively maybe you're just accosted by some normal party demons/imps and dragged into a club. Have fun!]


C, Heaven Level: The Holy Spirit Halloween
[Heaven-side, the heavenly hotel is its normal, pampering self, complete with every luxurious amenity you could imagine. However, it seems some parts of the hotel are decorated with more. . .demonic accents??

It's not just the hotel either. Outside, spot angels in all sorts of costumes, ranging from black cats to silly godzilla rubber suits. That's right, TIS THE SEASON, and it's the only time angels get to indulge in more silly ~sinful~ desires! Is this cultural appropriation?? Don't worry about it.

As for you, if you're not chillin' at a cat cafe or the gorgeous beach or a coffee shop, you may find a cherub stuffing you into a silly costume. When in Rome!! You may also come across huge golden depots full of costumes, so feel free to shop around! The cherubs within will also see to your every need, as if they're extensions of the hotel as well]

[ When Maya sproings up, JW reels back. His huge wings flap and stir up a whirlwind of fall leaves. He quickly straightens himself up and continues begging. ]

She sure can't.

[ He's looking at her face with a squint of his bad eye. The way her kitty mouth makes human words is...very weird, but not unfamiliar. It reminds him of Deuteronomy. But Maya doesn't look like a horrible taxidermy puppet. ]

What are you?

[Maya relaxes back into her squat, but tilts her head when JW asks his question. She's not exactly used to looking like a cat yet, so her first answer is—]

Me?

Um, I'm a lawyer's assistant.

Oh! And a medium!

[ He stares at her, annoyance creeping into the creases in his brow, but he doesn't ask her again because he really wants some sweet potatoes because I guess when you DIE you'll latch onto anything to keep from thinking about it. ]

[Slowly, JW sinks down into a similar squat, his knees around his ears. His wings flop on the ground behind him. He has very little control over them so far. ]

So ghosts have stopped haunting people and are now starting to sue?

Oh, no.

Huh, I bet those cases would be interesting, though...

[She looks like she's going to get carried away with that for a second. Because she does.]

Though, I guess if you're convicting a murderer, that's kind of like ghost-suing? Except it's totally against the rules to take testimony from a ghost.

[ JW has a little think about that. He idly reaches behind him to scratch at the base of one of his wings. ]

Well that's stupid. What, because ghosts don't pay taxes? Taxes! I don't have to pay taxes any more, I'm dead!

[ A slightly manic grin crosses his face. He's missing a few teeth. ]

This day just keeps gettin' better!

[Maya, who has never paid taxes;]

Woo! No taxes!

Actually, you're right, huh? There's a lot of benefits to this being dead stuff!

[ He flicks his thumb under his nose and watches the sweet potatoes eagerly. ]

Damn right. You know, I was kind of expecting to run into Jesus by now but it's fine by me. I've got a bone to pick with him anyway.

Oh! You're a Christian?

[She reaches with her sticks to turn those taters over again.]

I guess I didn't expect to see major figures here. Ooh! Do you think I could meet Buddha?

Mmmhm.

[ Though for James, it's more of family thing rather than something he gets too eat up about. He cusses at God as often as he prays.]

Well, I think that depends...

[ He swivels his head, scanning the gardens and taking in all the...creatures. And the lack of robes. ]

Oh... I didn't even consider that!

[Maya crosses her arms, sighing like an old woman or something. She seems to be completely oblivious to whatever J.W. fears... though she looks around with him just to make sure.]

Religious dialogue these days is really complex.

If it's the God I know...he probably wouldn't let Buddah hang out here...but the bible never said anything about cats going to Heaven.

[ He looks at Maya, as though expecting her to explain herself. ]

[Maya, completely unused to her own new form;]

Wow. If there's no cats in heaven, doesn't that sound kind of boring...?

[Oh, JW is looking at her kind of intently. She looks around, clueless.]

[ He squints at her. Is this a bit? ]

[She turns around to see— nothing.]

[ UGH this is JUST LIKE cats. Annoying little-- ]

[ Wait a second. Could it be that she hasn't noticed? That couldn't possibly be it, she's got little paws...]

[ He keeps Looking at her but now he's got his head turned so he can see her with his good eye.]

Oh girl, you've got more problems than whats on your face.

[Maya stares a moment longer before gasping—]

Oh! That's right! I'm the cat!

[she pats her paws to her cheeks!!]

But I still look really cute, right?!

[ Jesus. ]

I don't actually like cats that much.

[ No point in lying. ]

[IMMEDIATE pout.]

[ Another somewhat judgmental stare. ]

[ JW tips his head back, his brows lifting in surprise. Oh! ]

Yup! They would absolutely never do that!

[ JW nods as he puts a hand to the side of his head, just believing her. He's a little distracted. ]

So is everyone where you're from a cat? Weird we went to the same afterlife...

Huh? No, um... Actually, I didn't look like this until I got here.

[And, pointing toward him;]

Is everyone where you're from a bird?

[ JW opens his mouth to say "oh" and maybe to fret a little over how lucky he got in that regard, but what Maya says next ruffles JW's feathers--literally! ]

I'm not a bird! These are ANGEL wings!
