A: Garden Level - Fall IN!
[The garden is full of fruits and overflowing with milk and honey as usual, truly a paradise. But gasp, what's this? A PALLET CHANGE? Instead of the typical lush green, it's taken on more Autumn colors for Aesthetic^TM. It's still pleasantly warm as usual though, for current denizens and newbies alike, and it's gosh darn nice to hang out in.

But speaking of newbies and passerbys! If you pop in, you'll find yourself landing in a pile of colorful leaves. But these ain't no normal leaves!! Depending on the color, you may experience the following:

Yellow- Get energized nerd!! Despite just dying, you're suddenly filled to the brim with joy, and far more amicable to the first people you see.
Orange- Ever heard of love at first sight?? IT'S HAPPENING NOW. You may become absolutely smitten with the first few folks that help you out of your pile.
Red- Or the complete opposite! You're filled with the POWER OF AGGRO and ready to argue or fight with whoever you see first!

Or maybe you fall in a pile of mixed leaves that give you a combo of effects, or nullify the effect so nothing happens! Up to you. ]


B, Hell Level: Spooky Scary Skeletons
[Down at the HellRaiser hotel, it's already practically halloween 24/7, but now even more so! The standard hellish hotel amenities are available--massages, hot saunas, all the booze and drugs you could ever want, room service, etc!

But the perpetual night life is where it's at. In celebration of the most unholy season of the year (citation needed), the clubs are HOPPING and playing music loud enough it could raise the (un)dead. . .literally! You could be walking on your way back from getting a burger, and skeleton or zombie bursts from the ground! They might attack you or. . .try to get you to dance with them. Weird. Either way, don't linger too long, or they'll try to get you to go back further into the depths with them. . .

Alternatively maybe you're just accosted by some normal party demons/imps and dragged into a club. Have fun!]


C, Heaven Level: The Holy Spirit Halloween
[Heaven-side, the heavenly hotel is its normal, pampering self, complete with every luxurious amenity you could imagine. However, it seems some parts of the hotel are decorated with more. . .demonic accents??

It's not just the hotel either. Outside, spot angels in all sorts of costumes, ranging from black cats to silly godzilla rubber suits. That's right, TIS THE SEASON, and it's the only time angels get to indulge in more silly ~sinful~ desires! Is this cultural appropriation?? Don't worry about it.

As for you, if you're not chillin' at a cat cafe or the gorgeous beach or a coffee shop, you may find a cherub stuffing you into a silly costume. When in Rome!! You may also come across huge golden depots full of costumes, so feel free to shop around! The cherubs within will also see to your every need, as if they're extensions of the hotel as well]

[Maya points directly at Kalim, grinning brightly.]

That's exactly what I am! I mean, that's exactly what I look like, now!

Yeah! [Hops on over to join her in her pile, leaping in with a fwoomf! and a shower of orange and gold all around them.]

Does that mean you're suuuper lucky? [Grinning, leaning in aaalmost nose-to-nose with her.]

[WOW he is close! Just gonna lean back just a tiny bit. Well, it's a tiny bit until she nearly falls back and has to catch herself on her hands, and then it's kind of more a very-normal-distance.]

Ohhh, totally. You should see the kind of luck I have at poker.

[But Maya squints at him for a second, then looks around—]

Wow, is heaven just full of pretty boys?

[Personal space? What's that?]

Haha! I noticed that, too! Everybody here's a looker, for sure!

[But isn't he oh-so-charming as he leans in further? Of course he knows a boundary when it's set. So he will instead transition the move into a roll onto his back, arms folded behind his head so he can grin up at her from below. At least he's not audacious enough to occupy her lap or anything!]

Like you! You might be the cutest girl I've ever seen.

[Maya puts a hand... paw... hand... to her chest, sort-of-feigning sort-of-not-feigning humility.]

Oh, you flatterer!

[She loves the attention of course... but now that Kalim's in such a position, his ears are draped on Maya's lap, which she takes as an invitation to pet them.]

The Fey family is full of timeless beauties.

It's just in my blood..

[And as Morgan always said, nothing in her blood is earned... but that doesn't mean she can't enjoy the perks.]

Beauty runs in the family, huh? [His grin spreads wider, somehow, a glint in his eye that can only mean one thing. Wife material.] Well, that's perfect! Because-- [But then that last part processes and he sits up quickly, turning to face her on his hands and knees.]

Wait, when you say "fae family"... does that mean you're Fae? Like, a fairy? [Looking her up and down, fascinated by the prospect of a fairy wife. Wouldn't that be cool to add to the Asim family line...]

Huh? A fairy?

[A liiiittle too confused by the sudden change in topic to guess where he was going with that first bit even slightly.]

Do.. you come from somewhere there's fairies?

Well, yeah? [Tilting his head, the coins dangling from his halo jingling with the motion. Now he seems to be just as confused as she is.]

One of my good friends in Pop Music Club is fae! And his uhh... [Frowns in thought, tapping his chin with a hum.] ...M...aster...? [Wait, no, that's what Sebek calls him... Dangit, he's never really had to consider how Diasomnia's hierarchy works!] Ward? Iiii dunno what he is. But I heard he's like, the most powerful mage ever and he's fae, too!

...Do you come from somewhere that doesn't have fairies?

[Oh, cute... halos are so coolll!]

What?! Mages?! Are you kidding?!

I mean, sure, we have magicians where I'm from, and it's not like people don't have special powers...

[She crosses her arm over her chest and lifts a paw to her chin in thought]

...And I guess I did just go to a whole bunch of... super scary witch trials. But that's different!

[Furrows his brow in concern suddenly.]

"Witch trials"? Like the ones in history books? Oh, man. [Suddenly realizing they're here together because they're DEAD.]

Were... were you...??

Weren't you supposed to be telling me about mages and fairies?

[Just like a tennis ball hitting a racket, Maya deflects.]

[It's not like he doesn't know what she's doing, but he's... gotta be gentle about this sort of thing. Death is no joke! If she got "witch trial'd" and that's why she's here.... then she proooobably doesn't wanna talk about it right now. And that's fine!]

Ah-- right! Well, um, I really don't know a lot about the fae-- wish my friend Silver was here cos he's in a dorm with a few right now and he could tell you all about them!

As far as mages, though... I'm in school to learn how to better master my magic abilities! I came into mine pretty late compared to my classmates, but hey, that's what school is for!

[Oh Kalim. It's now Maya's turn to be the one up in Kalim's face, her eyes immediately full of stars and fists balled up with determination.]

So you can use magic for real?!

You can show me, right?!

[She wiggles on her hips and knees to get closer without getting up from her kneel.]

Like right now?

[Tugging a pen from inside his vest, he brandishes it with a twirl and a flourish, sending a twister of leaves up, up, up into the air. Maya may even feel herself becoming lighter, the ground below falling away as she's lifted along with the flurry of foliage.]

Ahaha! How's that?

[Maya doesn't hide even an ounce of her wonder as she watches the ground get further away, feels the breeze underneath her wings. This is somehow even more real than the magic she'd witnessed in Labyrinthia— though, she can't quite put her finger on why. Well, anyway, she's not to focused on that!]

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

You just did that with your— is that a pen?!

Did you just use your pen as a magic wand?!

[That's so— so cool!]

[Laughs!!!! She says "YOOOO" like him and his friends!! Oh, she will be fun.]

Ahaha! Yes! Just like that. I could probably even turn it into a wand if I wanted... But I tend to go for something a little like this. [And now he's gonna change it into his hella cool serpent staff and give it a twirl above his head. It absolutely does not match his white and gold and peacock blue ensemble, but it at least matches his serpent earrings. He's clearly got some kinda theme going on, here.]

I turn it into this staff when I'm ~doing battle~. Way cooler-looking than some pen, if you ask me!

[Hopping on careful kitty toes toward him, Maya leans around to inspect that staff at all angles.]

Whoooa! It's so cool! It's like you're some kind of wizard or something!

...Which, I guess you are, huh?

[broasis]

"Wizard"! [Oh that's a good one.] Nah, nah, I think the preferred term nowadays is "mage"? At least that's what we're called at school! But, personally? I think sorcerer sounds cooler. ...Not that I think I'm good enough at magic yet to call myself a sorcerer or anything.

[For a guy so youthful, Kalim laughs like a jolly old man for some reason, whole-heartedly with his entire belly and everything. Ahaha-ha-ha! He holds out the staff for her to take if she wants, giving it a little wiggle.]

Wanna better look?

[If Heaven is just a place where pretty boys are nice to you, Maya can absolutely get behind the idea. Especially if they're magic. Maybe there will be superheroes and swordsmen, too... but for now, Maya's attention is trained on this staff!]

R-really?

[Her wide eyes are full of interest— which is very apparent with how big her cat pupils grow.

She doesn't hesitate to take it with careful hands that hold it like she's definitely held staves before, with the reverence of a priestess. Which might be kind of surprising, considering how wildly she'd go ahead and swing it if it was a sword and all— but it's not like Kalim knows that yet.]

It's like the ones my family uses... but this cobra motif is way cooler!

[broasis]

[Aww, it actually looks pretty cute in her hands. He regards her warmly, really taking in the whole scene. A beautiful cat girl with wonder in her big round eyes, holding something so deeply important to him, just so delicately and yet so sure... ]

Oh? So your family has magic! Or, well, you did say "powers."

[He just can't take his eyes off of her...]

What, um. [Stay on topic, Kalim.] What do you guys do...?

Not magic. I'm really no good at sleight of hand,

[She admits with a sigh, as though she'd like to be. She holds the staff straight with its tip on the ground, pondering its orb admiring the cobra on its head, and even reaching out to pet the cobra's nose with a finger.]

But we're mediums. My family— well, the girls in my family, anyway— we channel the dead.

[broasis]

[Headtilt... His school has ghosts and that's pretty normal... But the idea of "channeling" them kind of eludes him.]

So you can... summon ghosts? Like, any ghost?

[parillegal]

Mm-mm. Nope.

[He isn't balking at the idea of it, so she's more inclined to explain;]

I can only call a ghost if I know their name and what they looked like when they were alive. And on top of that, it's not like I can just force someone to possess my body.

[She says it like it's so easy— like there's nothing weird about giving up your body to a ghost.]

But... I guess it doesn't matter, since I'm dead too.

[broasis]

[Shit, that's right. They ARE dead. He knew that like five minutes ago, and immediately forgot!]

Awwww, man. Don't remind me. It really bums me out when I remember that's why we're here!!

[Slooowly flopping over onto his side and rubbing at his face with a groan.]
