"Not the kind of help I'm used to getting," she muttered, then shook her head. "Sorry," she added in a mumble and sketched a bow. A better bow than she could have the year prior. It annoyed her how much those infernal lessons were helping.
Sadly, while she kept those thoughts behind her teeth, her face was expressive enough that magic had never really been needed to read her mind. She was, as she kept being told, an open book.
"I'm Kaylin. Corporal Kaylin Neya, of the Imperial Hawks. Not sure how the ****s much that means if we're dead..." she shrugged. It was a fief shrug, which meant it conveyed no information whatsoever. Unlike her highly annoyed facial expressions.
Then again she was also trying not to shiver. The heat of anger had helped with that, but in the face of his civility the anger had fled, leaving only annoyance in its wake. Which meant that she communicated better... but was feeling the cold worse.
