lmfaooo bold of you to assume this all isn't explained in canon

[Ochako is actually laughing a little at her phone screen. It's so bizarre finding someone who doesn't know what quirks are, or how they work, but she's more than happy to explain. It's the science lover in her, after all.]

wwwwwww
Both, yeah, but I can only negate something's gravitational force, I can't increase gravity, or pull things in towards me. My quirk is strictly Zero Gravity.
And yeah, I can float myself and pretty much anything I've touched...and then anything that thing has touched, kinda like a domino effect. It just got powered up, so I have to test the specifics.

There's actually a specific study based around quirks, but you've got it right mostly.
Sometimes a child will inherit one parent's quirk, sometimes they'll inherit both, and there's also those that combine together, like my friend's got ice and fire from his mama and papa.
And quirks usually manifest at about five years old, but sometimes they can appear at birth, though that's more rare these days.

Unless they got heteromorphism? I'm *pretty* sure that onsets at birth, since that alters a person's body type from the get-go.
