HELLO ALL, THE FIRST TEST DRIVE MEME FOR HECKIN GAME IS LIVE HERE!!
• You do not need to join the comms to play in it!
• Duplicates are welcome just for the TDM!
• Remember TDM =/= auto acceptance into the game later!
• Check out the FAQ and other Navigation for some clarifications!
• Tentatively apps will be open to the public around Friday Feb 23rd!

Meanwhile, please use this post for meeting and greeting if you so desire! Even if you don't plan on apping or playing after the TDM, who knows, maybe you'll meet some castmates or new friends! This game will not have a Discord chat so might as well get practice in doing things this way.

1. Hi, I'm wanting to bring in someone who made a deal with some demon, got demonic music powers, and also was possessed by said demon. Since figuring out what to do with the demon in this setting would be a logistical nightmare, I'm thinking of using the Hell Influence to fill in for the possession so that, as a hell raised, this character can keep his demonic powers at the cost of going on autopilot when he would otherwise let the demon take over.

Is this a good idea? Am I explaining my thoughts in a way that makes sense?

Up to you! You can replace it with said influence or he can have a double demon influence inside him. Said demon can also be influenced too.

so i see that we can make deals with npcs so that the npcs can be servile to pcs, but since i'm allergic to being wrong i wanted to clarify-- does the reverse count, too? basically just asking if vel can get herself in trouble selling her soul for Insta-Singing-Experience again even if not to another PC. If that's not an option i'll do something with hell influence instead so not a big deal, just wanna make sure i get things right!

Yea you can do that!! BUT in the main game proper be sure to give her some kinda drawback to that--like for example maybe she has to compliment someone before she sings or make an offering or whatever. UP TO YOU.

So lets say your character is a sort of spirit god type thingy that forms from an object (like a sword) Would they be able to appear as their sword or is it more like "YOU'RE DEAD NO ATTACHMENTS FOR ANY OF YOU!!!" sort of thing?

That should be perfectly fine. We already have transformations baked into the game so what's one more?

Is there anyone or anywhere to submit a complaint to within the bureaucrac(ies) about the clerical error and receive a "we are processing your request" reply from in 6 months

They can reply to Lucy's text and get left on read, or submit a letter to the front desk of their hotel to be promptly lost and forgotten.

Characters can still have small items that they were carrying at time of death if they aren't too OP, right (I personally am literally just thinking of a comb)

JUST CHECKIN SOMETHIN:

I know there's a lot of flexibility for heaven/hellsona designs, but can we also give those designs powers in lieu of canon abilities? Like - Jeanne in canon has a magic sword that lets her do stat buffs on allies and put enemies in Ye Holy Time Oute (pocket dimension). Could I make those abilities, with reasonable nerfs, tied to her heaven form instead? "mari you just want her to be able to summon a magic flame sword from the fire on her heavensona, for the vibes" "SHUT UP"

Same for passive abilities. Historically Joan of Arc discouraged her soldiers from swearing/fornicating/etc, so I was thinking of giving her an opt-in No Sin Zone status effect where if people wanted to, they could claim being near Jeanne made their characters incapable of cussing or acting on lewd thoughts etc? Or is that too close to the contract mechanic?

I think those are fine since you're basically just applying her canon stuff to the heaven form!! We'll hash out details before apps to have a concrete answer but for now consider it a Soft Yes.
