TDM 004: BACK TO SCHOOL

A: Garden Level - Fall IN!
[The garden is full of fruits and overflowing with milk and honey as usual, truly a paradise. But gasp, what's this? A PALLET CHANGE? Instead of the typical lush green, it's taken on more Autumn colors for Aesthetic^TM. It's still pleasantly warm as usual though, for current denizens and newbies alike, and it's gosh darn nice to hang out in.

But speaking of newbies and passerbys! If you pop in, you'll find yourself landing in a pile of colorful leaves. But these ain't no normal leaves!! Depending on the color, you may experience the following:

Yellow- Get energized nerd!! Despite just dying, you're suddenly filled to the brim with joy, and far more amicable to the first people you see.
Orange- Ever heard of love at first sight?? IT'S HAPPENING NOW. You may become absolutely smitten with the first few folks that help you out of your pile.
Red- Or the complete opposite! You're filled with the POWER OF AGGRO and ready to argue or fight with whoever you see first!

Or maybe you fall in a pile of mixed leaves that give you a combo of effects, or nullify the effect so nothing happens! Up to you. ]


B, Hell Level: Spooky Scary Skeletons
[Down at the HellRaiser hotel, it's already practically halloween 24/7, but now even more so! The standard hellish hotel amenities are available--massages, hot saunas, all the booze and drugs you could ever want, room service, etc!

But the perpetual night life is where it's at. In celebration of the most unholy season of the year (citation needed), the clubs are HOPPING and playing music loud enough it could raise the (un)dead. . .literally! You could be walking on your way back from getting a burger, and skeleton or zombie bursts from the ground! They might attack you or. . .try to get you to dance with them. Weird. Either way, don't linger too long, or they'll try to get you to go back further into the depths with them. . .

Alternatively maybe you're just accosted by some normal party demons/imps and dragged into a club. Have fun!]


C, Heaven Level: The Holy Spirit Halloween
[Heaven-side, the heavenly hotel is its normal, pampering self, complete with every luxurious amenity you could imagine. However, it seems some parts of the hotel are decorated with more. . .demonic accents??

It's not just the hotel either. Outside, spot angels in all sorts of costumes, ranging from black cats to silly godzilla rubber suits. That's right, TIS THE SEASON, and it's the only time angels get to indulge in more silly ~sinful~ desires! Is this cultural appropriation?? Don't worry about it.

As for you, if you're not chillin' at a cat cafe or the gorgeous beach or a coffee shop, you may find a cherub stuffing you into a silly costume. When in Rome!! You may also come across huge golden depots full of costumes, so feel free to shop around! The cherubs within will also see to your every need, as if they're extensions of the hotel as well]

"I certainly don't feel dead. Nor was I putting myself in any danger so - logically I shouldn't be dead. So the real question is - am I dead? Or did I just hop a dimension somehow without my Tardis where I am presumed dead? Hallo, I'm the Doctor."

Cue the cheeky grin.

"As someone that has died a lot of times, I wouldn't say there's really a 'feeling'. But it's definitely something." Klaus tilts their head slightly. "Well, according to the sheep? Yeah. But it's some sort of mix up apparently."

They note the grin and smile a little. "Hey. I'm Klaus. Welcome to...here?"

The Doctor gives Klaus something of a condescending look because he's died quite a lot before saying, "I'm so, so, sorry."
A soft smile back, "I'm The Doctor. Here? You can't think of something better? Like The Void?"

Klaus notes the look, but mostly looks the other way about it. "Ehhhh. I had to get faster at coming back to life somehow." Is that a totally normal way of being? No. But that's neither here nor there.

The suggestion of the Void makes them laugh. "That's what I call where I go when I die normally. I guess there's either Heaven or Hell. This is the in between?"

"You sound like someone I know... How are you immortal? Not an in-between that I've seen before. And here's the big stinkin question, how are we here? I'm rather sure I didn't self sacrifice. "

[busball]

Klaus shrugs. "It's a power thing? I was born with them. I can see ghosts and die and come back. It's real weird. I didn't even know about it until recently when I got a harpoon through the chest." Said in a way that someone might mention their normal, daily routine. "Surprised the hell out of me." Oh, that's funny given where they are right now. They giggle at that for a moment.

"But I dunno? I was on a murder boat before this, so I'm sure I died somehow. I just can't exactly remember it."

The Doctor makes an ow that sounds rather painful, "I'm so, so, sorry." With sad sympatric eyes.

The real question is - how did The Doctor die? He did get a laser though him but he bi-regenerated, so wasn't that.

"What can you tell me about this place?"

[busball]

Klaus waves it off. "Don't worry about it. It's fine." It's not, but they're also awkward about people feeling bad about things that they've been treating as normal. One day they might feel less weird about it.

"Oh. Well, everyone's either in Heaven or Hell. Like religious stuff? You can only get coffee in Heaven. You're allowed to go between both. There's an elevator and everything. I am still new here, so I haven't had a lot of stuff going on to know the ins and outs of everything."

"No in-between?" The Doctor makes a 'doesn't like this face' "Bit judgey don't you think?" Says the being that judges so many others.

"Yuk! What about a good cup of tea?"

[busball]

"This is as in between as we get." Klaus shrugs. There's a slight glow around them, but that's their normal these days. "Yeah. But such is human religions, you know? Lots of judgment. I'm in Heaven. Not sure why."

"Um...maybe? I don't really drink tea or coffee usually. But it's a cafe, so probably?"

"Yeah, don't believe in that. Good for you for ending up in Heaven. If I where to believe in this none-sense, there's an awful lot of judging going on, if I might say so. And someone ought to put a stop to that."

[busball]

"I don't think we're gonna succeed at that. But then I've done something like this and sometimes we can change stuff and sometimes there's a crazy narcisist running a place and things don't actually change." It's one of those weird things.

"It's one of those places, I see. Blimey, what am I going to do in this dimension?"
