[Heaven-side, the cherubs are ready to welcome you and give you the VIP treatment!! Massages! Manipedis! Lavish outfits and attention! You can raise your hand and just get a fucking cat sat on your lap! Truly, this is bliss!!
Oh, but it's also cozy season in Heaven! So along with the best fits for the chillier weather, There are an assortment of beverages being offered by angels for you to sample (CW Mind Manipulation):
Apple Spiced Latte- Tasty and earthy! But you suddenly feel more subservient.
Cranberry Spiced Latte- A bit tart but it works. This might make you sassier than usual.
Stuffing Spiced Latte- There is no effect. Why would you drink this you monster.
For the TDM you can find small cherub-run kiosks with these drinks on any level you prefer! If that's not your cuppa joe, feel free to explore the beauty of Heaven per usual! The beach! Boardwalk! All the cafes!! Whatever heaven should have, you can likely find it.]

Jean Valjain | Le Miserables Film | Undecided
Jean doesn't really do well with noise and excitement, but he's willing to play along just because he really doesn't know what else to do. As he walks along his form flickers between what seems like a bear like demon and a man with silver wings. The only similar thing between the two is the flame like light that gleams in his eyes.
He stops at a booth now and then but mostly he is content to wander and see what he can see.
C. Take a Sip
Jean was deeply uncomfortable in Heaven. It was as wonderful as the bishop promised and yet Jean still felt that itch, the one that told him he didn't belong him. As such his mind was a million miles away and he accepted a drink without thinking about it first.
The taste of apples coats his mouth and he smiles as he thinks of summers in the country when he and his sister would climb trees and eat more fruit then was good for them. He smiles slightly and appears to relax as he closes his eyes and attempts to remember those good days.
B. Ice Fall
In Hell, Jean looks like a bear human with horns curling from his dark hair symbols of his strength both physical and mental. Both of which serve him well as he dances around falling ice trying not to curse as he dances long. He has no idea where he made a wrong turn trying to find a place to rest, but the fact of the matter is that he did make that wrong turn and now he finds himself very, very stuck and in need of a savior.
Wildcard
[Throw up any prompt you want I'm down for just about anything.]
C. /heavy breathing
[ Michael is on the shorter side, but something about his commanding presence tends to cancel that out. There is a halo gleaming above his head and, since he is in Heaven, all six wings are proudly on display behind him. Unlike some of the others, he has no animal characteristics, he appears entirely human. ]
My brother is also fond of apples, I can smell them from here. Admittedly, I’m more partial to black coffee myself, but I could be swayed.
[ Piercing blue eyes linger on Valjean and almost seem to look through him, though that is hardly the case. He can just be an intense guy sometimes even with the soft smile. ]
Yours is a face I don’t recall having seen before, but I’m sure I haven’t met everyone yet.
Re: C. /heavy breathing
[Jean opens his eyes and nods allowing Michael to see his eyes are gleaming with light that mimics a candle flame.]
It was....I was remembering summers climbing apple trees with my sister and eating far too much of the fruit then was good for us.
[Jean is not an open man by nature so he's a bit surprised he is telling a complete stranger heavenly or otherwise any of this.]
I believe I have just arrived but I am uncertain. I am....
[A pause as Jean struggles to figure out what name to use since he's had so damm many]
Jean...my name is Jean.
no subject
[ How surprisingly forthcoming of him, he thinks, then he studies the drink he is holding again. This person could just be a sociable person but, as he just arrived, he feels the need to be candid. ]
Be mindful of anything left out by our hosts. It doesn’t happen every time, but they’ve been known to be mischievous. I wouldn’t want you to be caught unaware.
[ He nods, taking a moment or two to study the people around them. ]
Arriving here can be jarring but, for the most part, the people that call this place home with us are friendly enough. Jean. It’s a pleasure to meet you, my name is Michael. If you have any questions, I’ll answer them as best I can.
no subject
I pray....that if my sister is here we will find each other again.
[There is a longing in Jean's voice as he says this as it is one of his dearest wishes to see her again. But then the comment about the drinks comes and Jean gives his a wary look and sets it aside not realizing the damage is already done.]
Thank you friend for the warning...I....well I feel as though I have not decided where I belong
My life was a complicated one and there are things I still have to do.
[He sighs thinking of Cosette and Fantine]
I don't know if you can ease my troubled heart enough to help me choose.
B
Only when the other got stuck in among the ice, Javert reluctantly approached the other. He had gotten a shovel when he saw what happened and used it to knock the wall apart. Once made the path clear, Javert turned away. He wasn't ready yet to face him. The man that's haunted him since he arrived here months ago.
His old self would have left the other where he was, but now Javert couldn't ignore him. It wasn't fair. He couldn't leave the other trapped. Not when he could have died at the barricade. It was the only reason why he grabbed the shovel and dug him out the path way. This only added to his confusion as he left once the path way was cleared.
Jean may see the tail end of a black coat before it disappeared.
Re: B
Jean shook himself free of ice and just managed to catch sight of the coat before it vanished. Never one to let a good deed go unthanked Jean followed unsure if Hell would let him do something kind. "Please wait," he called softly not wanting to spook the other given how he looks. "I just want to thank you for freeing me."
no subject
"Are you sure you want to thank me?" he replied in tone void of emotion.
no subject
Jean pauses, staring at Javert, his expression unreadable. It's clear he is having a mental war with himself given the last time he saw this man he'd fallen out of a window into a river after a brutal fight. But then he remembers the bishop's kindness and his own conflicted nature over where he should be and sighs. "Yes I do," he replies quietly, "despite our...history inspector you did me a kindness and I would be wrong to not express gratitude for that."
no subject
"HOW CAN YOU KEEP SAYING THAT?" he roared. "YOU'RE ALWAYS PREACHING HOW YOU CAN FORGIVE DESPITE WHAT'S HAPPENED! I DON'T UNDERSTAND!"
Pain and confusion filled his expression. He escaped his world because he couldn't understand. And now he was being forced to try and understand. He should have left the other trapped.
"You should have killed me when you had the chance."
no subject
Jean is used to anger and doesn't even flinch when Javert yells. He sighs and looks the inspector in the eye. "I do what I do because when someone had the chance to give up on me they did not," he explains. "I had stolen from them.....after they welcomed me into their home...treated me like a human soul worth something and I stole from them and lied about it when they caught me,"
He swallows. "This person.....this man of God...lied to protect me and gave me more silver when he could have sent me back to prison....all he asked was that I use what he gave me to live as God wished me to do with the same kindness shown to me."
no subject
He was still struggling with the notion that someone like Jean could change. Even if someone like the man of God had helped, it went against everything he knew. People like him didn't change. Nor did someone like himself.
"You were the first person to openly show me kindness when I didn't deserve it. Now you have me doubting the law. The law was the only thing that I believed true and you shattered it. With out the law I am nothing."
no subject
"I was trying...to....l pass on the feeling I was shown to you," Jean says trying to understand himself but he isn't sure he can explain in the right way because his feelings about Javert are complicated. He understands where the man is coming from but he also wonders where the inspector has put his compassion. "I believe the saying is do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
"I never meant to cause you distress," Jean says, "but show you kindness."
no subject
Javert shook his head and looked away as he tried to regain his composure that was threatening to break.
no subject
Jean steps back shocked as he hears this. "I...what...I never meant." He said trying to understand. He was simply trying to do what he thought was the right thing to be the man he should be.
But he'd caused a man's death..not by his hand yes but still he caused it. Perhaps he belonged in Hell after all.
no subject
It took him a while before he was able to respond. Part of him wanted to take pride of the fact that Jean was blaming himself for his death. The rest of him knew that it wasn't the man's fault. Ultimately, he made he decision on his own.
"It seems that neither of us understand each other. I've had time to reflect and sort things out since arriving here. I don't hate you or really blame you for it. At first I did, but it's more of the fact that you caused me to doubt who I am and all the decisions I had made. Because of this I could no longer do my job as a police officer. I wasn't sure anymore about the Law.
If a man like you can change....what about others? Was I right to make those calls?"
no subject
Cosette....the poor child would not have peace now her last protector was dead...yet another soul he had failed.
He speaks his voice heavy with emotion. "People need the chance to change. I was given a chance...who knows if others would have done what I did with the bishop's sliver..I still cannot tell you what it was that moved me enough to follow the right path."
He studies Javert with his candle flame eyes. "But justice came for me when I fell out that window for I am here now my soul torn in two and promises left unfulfilled. So perhaps you were right as well."
no subject
You were trying to rescue one of them because he was the love interest of your daughter. They had me captive because they discovered I was of the police. You had saved them and in return they gave me to you. That's when you set me free."
no subject
Jean looks confused as well. "But the last time I saw you was as I was falling and then I...was here...struggling to find my place," He remembers the confused feelings as he tried to get Javert to listen and let him go to find the girl.
"Are you saying...we have been locked in this back and forth for years," he adds now the one who is struggling, "and it leads to your death in the end?" Jean steps back shaking his head even more confused than he was during the confrontation.
no subject
Why should it matter? You won in the end. You got your quiet life, you got to raise the girl and give her a better life. She got a husband. I've accomplished nothing." Javert replied.
no subject
"How can you say that," Jean says, "just because I changed your world view doesn't mean you didn't have purpose. I saw the good you did with others"
He shakes his head. "I can't believe I would have changed things for you that much...."
His voice was heavy with pain. "I was just one man..."
no subject
And now they were dancing around each other again of who was the worst while trying to say the other was better. Typical. They were both good at sulking and being dramatic. It was how they seemed to speak to each other. Never in plain words that normal people would have probably been able to do.
"You're putting yourself on a martyr. I'm beginning to think I thought too highly of you when you were a Mayor."
no subject
Jean is about to snap back when Javert's words give him pause. This man respected him...the convict he then chased most of his life and killed himself over. Jean is used to scorn and pity but respect is completely new.
He studies Javert for a long moment trying to figure out why and when the other man's regard has become important to him. And why convincing him he too is a good person is important. He sighs. "Another stalemate between us it seems....."
no subject
There was a long pause as Javert struggled what to do or say. "If you want, I can show you the safer area and where most people are residing down here. Unless, you reside in the Heaven? Or you can continue to get lost and trapped in the ice here."

Re: Jean Valjain | Le Miserables Film | Undecided
Skuld had been passing by and saw someone new. He was smiling and happy. And that was good, right?
Besides, maybe he wasn't new and she just hadn't met him yet. She was going to say hello, then saw that his eyes were closed. "Oh, guess he's sleeping," she said to herself.
