TDM 002 / MERMAY EVENT

A: Garden Level - CLEAN UP CREW
[WHUH OH YOU'VE DIED AND ENDED UP IN THE GARDEN OF GOOD AND EVIL. A usually beautiful sight--this time it seems the water from heaven is spilling over! Watch your step or you might get a stream of ocean water cascading atop your head like a prop bucket.
The imps and cherubs are hard at work with a water pump tho!! They've got this, really. "Don't mind us, we're just--doing paperwork! Yep!! THAT'S ALL IT IS."
Reassuring. More alarming, you may have noticed that you've changed. Depending on your alignment, you may have more heavenly or hellish traits.............or just for May, you may have AQUATIC traits. That's not worrying!!
Well as some oldbies get teleported to the garden as well, maybe you can ask them some questions!!]

B: HECK-LING TIMES
[Now if you take the elevator down to Hell's Hotel, it's water free! However you may be IMMEDIATELY assaulted by some imps who try to jab you with a shiv. Standard hell greeting!! Maybe someone intervenes or maybe you can like, just punch them. The sheep imps ain't shit. The rest of the hotel is surprisingly nice though, and if you have a room assignment there, you'll find it honestly pretty accommodating.
BUT OUTSIDE? Oh buddy is it still flooded!! Some imps are working hard to pump the water out, but it has the added effect of creating whirlpools. Get sucked into one and not only will you be tossed and turned like laundry, but there's a chance a MEMORY will be tossed right out of you! This could be anything from forgetting your name, your bestie's face, where you live, whatever! Don't worry, the effect will wear off in a few hours, or until someone finds the memory and gives it back to you (in the form of floating seashells that will float near the whirlpools!)]

C: HEAVENLY SING-A-LONGS
[Take the elevator up, and you step in the luxurious Heavenly Hotel! And you may be IMMEDIATELY assaulted by sheep cherubs spritzing you with perfumes or colognes or dolling up your hair. They're here to serve!! Once you get rid of those pests though, feel free to explore the ludicrously divine amenities of the hotel.
OUTSIDE isn't nearly as flooded as Hell, though the local ocean has still expanded greatly, but instead there's a different problem...........there are crabs. And seagulls. And fish?? Singing. They're singing SO much.
You may find a chorus of sea critters at any point in Heaven abruptly bursting into a kiss-the-girl style musical, accidentally revealing a crush you might have, or a silly secret. Better hope passing angels and other residents aren't listening too hard! Of course you can just punt the annoying creatures away. Or eat them. That's an option too, sure. ]

[Goes to bap Mitsuhide's forehead with a fan!]

Do you really dislike her naivete so much? I would have thought there was more of a misguided idealist in you deep down.
no subject
I never said you were drunk, my lord. Just stating the fact that you get a bit odd when you have consumed too much sugar.
[Well, odder than normal, anyway.]
And I don't dislike the little mouse's naivete. I just find it quite unusual that she was able to live for so long and not fall into harms way until she met us.
no subject
[But he goes back to default smug!] And you don't think that's lucky? [He doesn't believe in luck anymore than Mitsuhide, but he does believe in using everything that happens to his utmost advantage.]
no subject
You know better than I that luck is unreliable. Eventually, someone's luck runs out.

[Foolish naivete. Beautifully bold, like setting fire to the sun or trying to save an ice cube from the cold. Super nonsense. Aesthetic for the sake of it. Poetry in action, not words. Maybe it's too gaudy for Mitsuhide? He didn't want the castle as bombastically bright as Nobuanga after all.]
Fear not. I'm well aware now I'm not in love with her, but the future itself. If you could only see it Akechi, you would be too.
[Nobunaga "transcended" hyper on the ship. It's terrifying.]
no subject
That may be so, but she is no longer in her time and the people of our era will not return such kindness. They will most likely take advantage of it.
[Like the way Nobunaga has!]
But I'll take your word on how the future is like.

You can get acclimated a little here. It's easier than truly crashing through the future eras. Though if I can get any nonfiction here, I might pull an Ishida and disappear for a few months trying to digest it all. I'm not sure how much heaven or hell values knowledge unfortunately.
no subject
Who's to say if any nonfiction would apply to the future of our world. It almost seems like people come from varying different worlds.
no subject
There are. There are... almost infinite worlds. Infinite possibilities and timelines. [Vibrates a little, the Demon King frozen aura of doom and sadism fading for his enthusiasm sparkles though not completely.] There's one where you're a squirrel, and I'm a shiba inu. Masamune is a butt-ugly dog. Kichou is almost always a woman, but I'm a woman in more than two hundred. The way the timelines work, if too many paradoxes were created, it would implode on itself, and take the whole timeline with some leeway to remove the damage. It's probably moot right now, but the amount of worlds and people we can reach is so broad.
The most fascinating thing is what stays the same through them. In our timeline, America the continents, was only just circumnavigated, by Portuguese. Later there's a country there called the United States of America, and the people are all very loud, very bold, love guns and their economy is surreal. They can grow so much food they can almost feed the whole world, but they keep doing wild and crazy things. They're really into colors and science, and you'd hate it. [Laughs.] But even here, you'll find more of them than not. Or those familiar with it. I've only met one person from Cardalek or Orion, and no one from Vulcan, though I was told about it, but at least fifteen Americans. Selection bias, sure, but I'll be surprised if it's not like it here too.
Japan always has an economic miracle in the 1980s though. Everyone agrees on it. Almost strong enough to rival America -- the country's -- economy. And all through games, art, music, minimalist food techniques marketed as luxury, and what they call "movies" for moving pictures. Like a recorded play you can watch over and over like reading a book. I've even met some JPop stars, even though they had karaoke, the songs were mostly American still? I don't understand that, they agreed it's Japanese in origin, but I guess Americans did it more? Or maybe it's just the size, the country is so big.
