TDM 002 / MERMAY EVENT
A: Garden Level - CLEAN UP CREW
[WHUH OH YOU'VE DIED AND ENDED UP IN THE GARDEN OF GOOD AND EVIL. A usually beautiful sight--this time it seems the water from heaven is spilling over! Watch your step or you might get a stream of ocean water cascading atop your head like a prop bucket.
The imps and cherubs are hard at work with a water pump tho!! They've got this, really. "Don't mind us, we're just--doing paperwork! Yep!! THAT'S ALL IT IS."
Reassuring. More alarming, you may have noticed that you've changed. Depending on your alignment, you may have more heavenly or hellish traits.............or just for May, you may have AQUATIC traits. That's not worrying!!
Well as some oldbies get teleported to the garden as well, maybe you can ask them some questions!!]
B: HECK-LING TIMES
[Now if you take the elevator down to Hell's Hotel, it's water free! However you may be IMMEDIATELY assaulted by some imps who try to jab you with a shiv. Standard hell greeting!! Maybe someone intervenes or maybe you can like, just punch them. The sheep imps ain't shit. The rest of the hotel is surprisingly nice though, and if you have a room assignment there, you'll find it honestly pretty accommodating.
BUT OUTSIDE? Oh buddy is it still flooded!! Some imps are working hard to pump the water out, but it has the added effect of creating whirlpools. Get sucked into one and not only will you be tossed and turned like laundry, but there's a chance a MEMORY will be tossed right out of you! This could be anything from forgetting your name, your bestie's face, where you live, whatever! Don't worry, the effect will wear off in a few hours, or until someone finds the memory and gives it back to you (in the form of floating seashells that will float near the whirlpools!)]
C: HEAVENLY SING-A-LONGS
[Take the elevator up, and you step in the luxurious Heavenly Hotel! And you may be IMMEDIATELY assaulted by sheep cherubs spritzing you with perfumes or colognes or dolling up your hair. They're here to serve!! Once you get rid of those pests though, feel free to explore the ludicrously divine amenities of the hotel.
OUTSIDE isn't nearly as flooded as Hell, though the local ocean has still expanded greatly, but instead there's a different problem...........there are crabs. And seagulls. And fish?? Singing. They're singing SO much.
You may find a chorus of sea critters at any point in Heaven abruptly bursting into a kiss-the-girl style musical, accidentally revealing a crush you might have, or a silly secret. Better hope passing angels and other residents aren't listening too hard! Of course you can just punt the annoying creatures away. Or eat them. That's an option too, sure. ]

-All effects are optional and last as long as it's fun for you to play with them!
-TDM characters can have mermaid forms or not, up to you!
-This TDM is open to all! For now, you do NOT need to join the comm to play in it!

[ who goes there! once she swats the rest of the cologne away from her face, Noi scans the horizon around her for the source before finally looking down.
the tiny voice is coming out of a very tiny person—that she nearly steps on when she tries to walk away. she flails her arms to steady herself and manages to pause with her foot hovering directly over Ruby’s head.
surely an apology is in order, considering she nearly squished her like a bug. instead, she lowers her leg, squints again, and promptly points at her. ]
It’s a midget! Ehhh, I guess they would have midgets up here too..
[ how does one talk to a midget without being condescending? like she knows! she crouches down to be closer to eye level and pokes her shoulder. a real midget! ]
My mask? Ah, sorry, sorry! One sec— [ she unzips the mask to reveal a sheepish grin, twirling it around on her finger once she removes it. ] Hey, did that help or do I still smell like crap? It’s absolutely not my fault! It was that shitty water in hell.

[Isn't that kind of mean?? And she's not short! Everyone else here is just... really, really tall. She wants to point that out, too! Except the tall figure has crouched down to her level - more or less - and pulled off that strange mask to reveal.... way more hair than she thought possible. Whoa.]
Uhh, smell? [And then it hits, and her face scrunches.] Ugh... I guess that does explain the elevator... Maybe you should try and get washed up? There's plenty of spas around here.

[ still small though, even though everyone is small compared to her usually. she is all smiles even as she lifts her jacket up to give it the sniff test. not bad! but her pants are still caked in stagnant water, the blood probably doesn’t help much either.
and her damn leg isn’t healing as quickly as usual. such a pain. ]
A spa? Ah, that’s too fancy for me. It’s kinda pointless, isn’t it? If I’m gonna have to go back down there after this. Maybe if those little guys spray me again—
[ as if on perfect cue, she gets sprayed again with cologne and it’s another headshot. it’s punctuated by a comical noise that sounds like sputtering before she swats at it with her mask. ]

[Emphasis on the 'little' part. She about comes up to Noi's knee, which further confirms Ruby's idea that all of this is just a little bit unfair.
Also, damn, that's a lot of blood and mess. No wonder the cherubs are throwing a fit.]
But it doesn't have to be pointless. It's fun! Especially if you're there with friends.

It'd also be, uh, more relaxing than getting cologne sprayed in your face all day.

[ without warning, she scoops Ruby up and starts wandering off in a random direction, looking for this spa. if nothing else Ruby doesn’t have to worry about getting lost in the crowd. in truth? she just doesn’t want to accidentally step in her. ]

She barely has time to voice her opinion about bullies before being scooped up into some powerful arms, and suddenly they're on their way. Boy, she's like a couple of grapes, huh.]

Cool! We’re friends, then! And hey, don’t worry about the stains on the jacket, they’re older than dirt. Washin’ blood outta clothes is a chore, pretty sure those stains are from last year, maybe the year before last..
[ probably. mostly likely. she probably could have, you know, not drawn any attention to them and she would have been none the wiser, but that’s not how she rolls.
this whole time she’s been walking around like she knows exactly where she’s going with her tiny friend. did she pass it? it’s not unlikely, she’s kind of distracted. finally, all smiles, she looks down at her. ]

[This required a new perspective! Nimbly, Ruby scampers up Noi to sit more comfortably on her shoulder. From here, for the first time, she could see above nearly every angelic figure around them.]
