TDM 002 / MERMAY EVENT
A: Garden Level - CLEAN UP CREW
[WHUH OH YOU'VE DIED AND ENDED UP IN THE GARDEN OF GOOD AND EVIL. A usually beautiful sight--this time it seems the water from heaven is spilling over! Watch your step or you might get a stream of ocean water cascading atop your head like a prop bucket.
The imps and cherubs are hard at work with a water pump tho!! They've got this, really. "Don't mind us, we're just--doing paperwork! Yep!! THAT'S ALL IT IS."
Reassuring. More alarming, you may have noticed that you've changed. Depending on your alignment, you may have more heavenly or hellish traits.............or just for May, you may have AQUATIC traits. That's not worrying!!
Well as some oldbies get teleported to the garden as well, maybe you can ask them some questions!!]
B: HECK-LING TIMES
[Now if you take the elevator down to Hell's Hotel, it's water free! However you may be IMMEDIATELY assaulted by some imps who try to jab you with a shiv. Standard hell greeting!! Maybe someone intervenes or maybe you can like, just punch them. The sheep imps ain't shit. The rest of the hotel is surprisingly nice though, and if you have a room assignment there, you'll find it honestly pretty accommodating.
BUT OUTSIDE? Oh buddy is it still flooded!! Some imps are working hard to pump the water out, but it has the added effect of creating whirlpools. Get sucked into one and not only will you be tossed and turned like laundry, but there's a chance a MEMORY will be tossed right out of you! This could be anything from forgetting your name, your bestie's face, where you live, whatever! Don't worry, the effect will wear off in a few hours, or until someone finds the memory and gives it back to you (in the form of floating seashells that will float near the whirlpools!)]
C: HEAVENLY SING-A-LONGS
[Take the elevator up, and you step in the luxurious Heavenly Hotel! And you may be IMMEDIATELY assaulted by sheep cherubs spritzing you with perfumes or colognes or dolling up your hair. They're here to serve!! Once you get rid of those pests though, feel free to explore the ludicrously divine amenities of the hotel.
OUTSIDE isn't nearly as flooded as Hell, though the local ocean has still expanded greatly, but instead there's a different problem...........there are crabs. And seagulls. And fish?? Singing. They're singing SO much.
You may find a chorus of sea critters at any point in Heaven abruptly bursting into a kiss-the-girl style musical, accidentally revealing a crush you might have, or a silly secret. Better hope passing angels and other residents aren't listening too hard! Of course you can just punt the annoying creatures away. Or eat them. That's an option too, sure. ]

-All effects are optional and last as long as it's fun for you to play with them!
-TDM characters can have mermaid forms or not, up to you!
-This TDM is open to all! For now, you do NOT need to join the comm to play in it!

Their singing might be obnoxious, but they do taste divine. I guess heaven still lives up to some of the hype. But only some of it.

I have heard they have the best peaches, but the price is steep enough I've always striven to raise my own instead.

[Megumi the non-cutesy nickname version. No wait. That's no way to recruit generals!] You must be royalty. [A nod. Listen, he was born with the name Kipposhi, so... yeah. He gets it. Of course in his case, the name Nobunaga was picked by himself, albeit following family traditions of the region -> Nobu. "Trust the" and then "length" of his visionary ambition and dream.]
I should like to see this Explosion magic when you have the time or inclination.
I'm Demon King of 6th Heaven: Oda Nobunaga. Conqueror of the non-magical realm, and first unifier of Japan. [He sounds... bored by it. He's not, it's just he feels like he owes her his titles after that, but he's keenly aware that if there are other demon kings here, he has to fight them to see who is strongest, and he's not trying to understate, or more importantly: overstate his position.]
Confidentially, it has been a long time since that I've been away from Hell. [Whether he means his Japanese life in the Sengoku era, or down in the basement here...] I'm not entirely certain what to expect.
Are you only here [points a finger upwards, meaning in heaven, which he refuses to name. Despite literally just using the 6th Heaven title, but that's only because it's a designation of HELL, okay.] for the food?

Not even close! My parents were so dirt poor, I had to scavenge for most of my childhood. Crimson demons just tend to have names like that, we get that kind of reaction a lot.

[She knows of Japan because so many of the "heroes" of her world were sent to her world from Japan. Kazuma himself is Japanese and is able to read the ancient texts of the mythical heroes, but this guy? If what he said was true, he was such a badass he conquered ALL the other bad-asses that came from that world! He also seems totally genuine because he says it so cool and casually! To do all that without an ounce of magic?!]

Mmm... actually I'm looking for some of my allies. They're more compassionate and friendly types, so I figured if they died in the same thing that got me, they're bound to be around here somewhere. One is a Priestess who likes to claim to be a goddess, one's a beautiful blonde haired Crusader with massive boobs.
[Yunyun probably would also be here if she died, but she's pretty sure Yunyun wasn't around when she got killed.]

What's the not-goddess look like?
I'm looking for my partner, actually why I'm here as well. That and to test their defenses. [Casually planning to conquer heaven, as you do...] But descriptions wouldn't do Klaus Hargreaves or their siblings justice. [It's hard to describe Klaus, especially since who the fuck knows what else might have changed? It's generally easier for Klaus to find Nobunaga since his reputation erm... proceeds him.] I wouldn't be surprised to find some of my other generals here, but they're likely to be in the depths. Except Ishida, but unless there is a library around here, he'll be harder to lure out.
Actually, I'm a little surprised you know of Japan. [Although the Crimson Demons must be related.] Though it does mean my mission to spread its reputation succeeded. Mwahaha. [Take that Heaven!]

Aqua has blue clothes, striking blue hair, blue eyes, and tends to have the most obnoxious people in her church. I honestly might think these singing crabs may have been sent by the Axis cult if I didn't know better.

Personally I think conquering hell is probably the better way to go here. Heaven's just not worth it, and I don't know who's in charge of hell at the moment, but clearly they're not as cool as me.
[Or Nobunaga, but she's not going to sing his praises that much... yet.]
Once Hell's conquered then we should come knocking on heaven's door.

So far Hell already appears fine. Just a little more push of rebellious flames to upend whatever repressive damage the cults of other worlds did previously and it should be fine.
[He's kind of been there, done that, got the scars to prove it about ruling Hell. Sad.]

[Not just in that cults are crazy like that, but also that hell appears mostly fine. The reason she wanted to take over her world as demon king was it wasn't fine, much like Nobunaga's world. Wait... was he testing her? Did he have similarly lofty ideals about how he wanted to rule the world!?]
I... honestly need more information on the situation in hell before I can decide that for sure. I may use that approach if necessary, but that level of micromanagement could be tedious.

Only two ever liked me without time, and often trying to kill me first. My second in command, and my partner. And there were a lot of destabilizing circumstances to Tayrey meeting me, and Klaus is just ... unique. [Cheerily noms his crab.] Both my left and right hand [A beat!] ... Generals [As funny as it is for people to take him literally, even Nobunaga has some small sense of comedic timing, and now isn't it.] tried to kill me repeatedly first.
Perhaps you'll have a better sense of what you want to do here when you know of word of your companions.

I'd say several of my close friends have tried pounding their idea of sense into me, but I've avoided most murder attempts. I think people probably take your ambitions to rule more seriously than mine, and that when I get closer to my goal the assassinations will begin in earnest.

People do have a tendency to run off of shallow impressions. Or "vibes" as my partner would say. I think the only reason I've survived so many is that there have been so many. It helps to expect them. Be careful that you don't lose your edge for being underestimated. The one downside to my being around Klaus, they generally try to convince others I'm not as murderous as I seem. Though my left hand would appreciate that for making his job easier. He's something of my shadow.
Oh? That explains how you've heard of Japan. I should like to meet him. [Maybe terrorize him to make sure he's good enough (bad enough?? Badass enough!) for Megumin.] I don't suppose you know much about which era he's from? He's unlikely to be contemporary with myself and my generals. The price of being in the non-magic realm. My left hand Mitsuhide is here too. He's always been presumed to be a kitsune, and now he truly is. Fox ears and tails. [Mimes with his hands.] White hair, yellow snake eyes.
I would have assumed that I was last with Tayrey and Klaus, not in Japan with my army, but perhaps I am mistaken. It's fortunate your friends are here too. Unless that's a problem? [Because while dying doesn't faze Nobunaga who literally played a death game with a cannibal cougar for funsies, most people aren't into that.]

Sorry but he doesn't like to talk about his homeland very much. From what I hear it has a ton of innovations in tools and household goodies. He partnered up with a literal demon, who is producing a bunch of the goods because he can read Kazuma's mind and saw the opportunity of a lifetime. It has made Kazuma insanely wealthy.

Yes, that's Mitsuhide. [.....] Please don't trust him with anything. [He said PLEASE?!?!?!] He's my shadow, and his biggest job is betraying me if I ever lose sight of our goals. And being in my army doesn't ensure safety from his teasing, quite the opposite. My right hand nearly kills him on a regular basis. The only thing you can trust Mitsuhide with is to keep you on your toes even better than giant toads.

Well he's not the first person from his world brought to mine, but some of thr things he says makes him sound crazy for completely different reasons. You'll see if you meet him, he's got a knack for getting himself in hot water figuratively.
[Megumin has also been regarded as crazy for years now, so she's not exactly going to judge Nobunaga. He's the good kind of crazy rather than the Axis cult, or the demons who worship chomusuke.]
