A: Garden Level - CLEAN UP CREW
[WHUH OH YOU'VE DIED AND ENDED UP IN THE GARDEN OF GOOD AND EVIL. A usually beautiful sight--this time it seems the water from heaven is spilling over! Watch your step or you might get a stream of ocean water cascading atop your head like a prop bucket.

The imps and cherubs are hard at work with a water pump tho!! They've got this, really. "Don't mind us, we're just--doing paperwork! Yep!! THAT'S ALL IT IS."

Reassuring. More alarming, you may have noticed that you've changed. Depending on your alignment, you may have more heavenly or hellish traits.............or just for May, you may have AQUATIC traits. That's not worrying!!

Well as some oldbies get teleported to the garden as well, maybe you can ask them some questions!!]


B: HECK-LING TIMES
[Now if you take the elevator down to Hell's Hotel, it's water free! However you may be IMMEDIATELY assaulted by some imps who try to jab you with a shiv. Standard hell greeting!! Maybe someone intervenes or maybe you can like, just punch them. The sheep imps ain't shit. The rest of the hotel is surprisingly nice though, and if you have a room assignment there, you'll find it honestly pretty accommodating.

BUT OUTSIDE? Oh buddy is it still flooded!! Some imps are working hard to pump the water out, but it has the added effect of creating whirlpools. Get sucked into one and not only will you be tossed and turned like laundry, but there's a chance a MEMORY will be tossed right out of you! This could be anything from forgetting your name, your bestie's face, where you live, whatever! Don't worry, the effect will wear off in a few hours, or until someone finds the memory and gives it back to you (in the form of floating seashells that will float near the whirlpools!)]


C: HEAVENLY SING-A-LONGS
[Take the elevator up, and you step in the luxurious Heavenly Hotel! And you may be IMMEDIATELY assaulted by sheep cherubs spritzing you with perfumes or colognes or dolling up your hair. They're here to serve!! Once you get rid of those pests though, feel free to explore the ludicrously divine amenities of the hotel.

OUTSIDE isn't nearly as flooded as Hell, though the local ocean has still expanded greatly, but instead there's a different problem...........there are crabs. And seagulls. And fish?? Singing. They're singing SO much.

You may find a chorus of sea critters at any point in Heaven abruptly bursting into a kiss-the-girl style musical, accidentally revealing a crush you might have, or a silly secret. Better hope passing angels and other residents aren't listening too hard! Of course you can just punt the annoying creatures away. Or eat them. That's an option too, sure. ]

I'M GONNA HUUUUURL!

[Megumin had the misfortune of getting sucked into a whirlpool after stepping outside. What the hell was going on here!? She hadn't been this motion sick since Yunyun rolled her down the street!

And just like that, POP goes her memory of Yunyun. It spins around and around with her, but while Megumin eventually gets shot out of the whirlpool onto thr shore and just lays there for a while, her memory seems to have floated away. Who is she forgetting? Ehhh... if she can't remember it must not be important.]

No... more... spinning please.

Heavenly Sing-A-Longs

OHHHHHH! You don't need to eat us, there's plenty of food to be had! You say you're a demon, but I don't think you're so bad! So stop trying to create that cooking fire, we can all be your friend! You don't need to feel sad your life came to an end!

[Megumin is pointedly ignoring the crab's song as she has it tied up with her cape, and she's trying to use the driftwood she collected for a fire as the song was suggesting.]

Would you shut up!? The reason I'm cooking you is because you're so damn annoying, and crab meat is delicious! Since this is heaven, I probably don't have to, but you brought it on yourself with all the singing!

[Several more crabs scuttle up to join in a crab chorus much to Megumin's dismay.]

Ohhhhh! When you're feeling down, just remember my friend! This musical melody will never really end! Come rain or sunshine, or even if we're apart! The melody will keep playing in the depths of your heart.

[Megumin groaned and buried her face in her hands.]

[On the one hand, Nobunaga wanted to nope out immediately, on the other hand, he is too proud and stubborn to let them think they've won.]

[The other crabs seem to be a bit quieter after that particular stunt.]

What a delightful young woman you are! You should join my army.

[While Megumin can appreciate the fact that he's amused by her crab slaughter, she's finally got her fire going and is roasting this sucker while the other crabs decide what they should do. She just shrugs as she continues to cook the once singing and lively little crab.]

I'm not really the army joining kind of girl. I may occasionally obliterate entire armies, or help out in a war effort, buuuuut I'm an adventurer with some rather grand ambitions already.

[She grabs another crab that hadn't decided to flee fast enough, and has it held in such a way so that its pincers can't hurt her. She's clearly practiced hunting pinching marine life on many occasions, and now the other singing animals are starting to scatter in a panic.]

Still, you're kind of interesting. If you want some crab you're welcome to join me. You might want to catch some before they get away if you're hoping for more than one though.

[He glances at the crabs, grabs one by the legs, and hands it to her to do as she pleases.] I'm not hungry, but by all means. We can negotiate terms.

How do you "obliterate armies?" [He's been known to as well, but he half expects it to be in video games or something.] What's your preferred weapon of choice?

[She then stands up, posing dramatically, and putting her cape back on that had once been wrapped around a crab now roasting over the fire.]

My name is Megumin! The most feared, most powerful, most deadly spell caster in all the land! I am the foremost prodigy among the crimson demons, and wielder of the mightiest spell known to man, EX-PLOSION!

[She grins at him as she continues her chuni introduction.]

The very gods tremble before its might, as I can destroy entire armies and cities with my superior magic!

[Then she sits back down and take her crab off the fire. After blowing on it a bit she starts eating it and gives him a thumbs up.]

Their singing might be obnoxious, but they do taste divine. I guess heaven still lives up to some of the hype. But only some of it.

[Tackles a crab, they're kind of getting the message to run the hell away now, but too slow!]

I have heard they have the best peaches, but the price is steep enough I've always striven to raise my own instead.

[Dodododo, unlike Megumin however, Nobunaga is just slow roasting it. He doesn't go out of his way to be patient, but quality > everything!] Your name is really Megumin, not --? [Megumi the non-cutesy nickname version. No wait. That's no way to recruit generals!] You must be royalty. [A nod. Listen, he was born with the name Kipposhi, so... yeah. He gets it. Of course in his case, the name Nobunaga was picked by himself, albeit following family traditions of the region -> Nobu. "Trust the" and then "length" of his visionary ambition and dream.]

I should like to see this Explosion magic when you have the time or inclination.

I'm Demon King of 6th Heaven: Oda Nobunaga. Conqueror of the non-magical realm, and first unifier of Japan. [He sounds... bored by it. He's not, it's just he feels like he owes her his titles after that, but he's keenly aware that if there are other demon kings here, he has to fight them to see who is strongest, and he's not trying to understate, or more importantly: overstate his position.]

Confidentially, it has been a long time since that I've been away from Hell. [Whether he means his Japanese life in the Sengoku era, or down in the basement here...] I'm not entirely certain what to expect.

Are you only here [points a finger upwards, meaning in heaven, which he refuses to name. Despite literally just using the 6th Heaven title, but that's only because it's a designation of HELL, okay.] for the food?

...I wish I was with Eris again, heck even being with Aqua wasn't as bad as this! But no, it's not hell.

(Look over to your left, Megumin! It's Kazuma, back in his usual tracksuit with his hands over his ears. And he's being serenaded by singing fish.)

[She was actually thrilled and relieved to see Kazuma here, but she is also quite salty about the singing. The reminder of Kazuma also being rather intimately close with Darkness and Iris was not putting her in a kissing mood. It was putting her in the mood for lunch though!]

Kazuma? Would you like to skewer some of those suckers for me? We can roast them instead of letting them roast us.

Either way, he picks up a stick and fashioned it into a pair of skewers before doing as Megumin asks. One for each of them.)

Wait, when did fish try to skewer humans that are already dead? And were you taken out by your own Explosion?!!

(He won’t laugh at all, considering he was the guy who was taken out by a swarm of Kobolds when he could’ve easily picked that runner off WITHOUT RUNNING INTO A TRAP! Common sense and logic was necessary that day.)

You must be imagining things. Any cat taken as a familiar by crimson demons will seem more eccentric.

[That's her excuse, and she'll stick to it.]

[The crabs and fish break into another verse now that the two are cozying up near the fire.]

[Aaaand now Megumin is picking up a crab and hurling it at the others.]

As for HOW we died? We crimson demons are highly magic resistant, so there's no way I was done in by my own spell! More likely those giant toads finally got us.

I probably went out trying to save you all heroic like but miscalculated the timing. And Lady Eris sent me here to retrieve you before she could send us back.

(Actually, Kazuma was literally stung/skewered to death by huge bees that made the ones in his world look like cute pets.)

Well I always look cute, so that's no major surprise. I'm just surprised death is so different from how you described it to me before.

I don't know what an animated movie is, but this does feel like a bad school production musical. Do you think the afterlife management is having an off day? Maybe all this chaos is a result of that?

(Where was his fair heroine anyway? If she had been called away to oversee a few things…no wonder they hadn’t been resurrected yet!)

Definitely an off day. These would taste great with some barbecue sauce. Too bad we weren’t given any.
